My Business Values & Practice
Transparency matters to me in how I lead and run my business. I created this page to address topics that I deeply care about, as well as areas that I often get questions about, so I know they don’t just matter to me, but to you, too.
It’s not an all-encompassing list and I may continue to add to it.

Conflicts of Interest
Conflicts of interest
I am currently not advising or an investor in any company.
Any mention of products or services in my content or in conversation is unpaid and merely based on my own experience; should this ever change, I’d disclose in accordance with European rules for advertisement.
AI Usage
Content such as articles, presentations, and social media posts is all created by my team and me. I use AI to help me synthesize content and a writing buddy that I programmed with AI to ask me questions that help with my creative and writing process. Any published content is still created by me.
Illustrations, e.g. for stickers and in presentations, are all created by humans like the formidable Shei.
My colleague Sly Stark is a human (this line exists here because we’ve gotten this question several times).
Podcast episodes for Leadership Confidential are transcribed using a tool that entails AI features. The editing is done by Esteban del Pino, Sly, and me.
Gen AI tooling in our work together: GenAI tooling can be useful and many of my clients use it in various ways, including to assist in follow-up for and to enhance our partnership. (I use it too, to a limited degree.) An integral pillar of our work includes developing new ways of thinking, reasoning, and problem solving.
That’s why my only request for you is to be transparent with me when you use these tools and how, in particular when you send me materials for feedback and review. It is important context that impacts my ability to provide meaningful feedback to you, and helps ensure that the tools we use enhance our work and help us make the most of it.
Giving Back
On average, I spend around 15% of my capacity on unpaid community work.
I donate 10-15% of my annual profits to charity organizations, with a focus on local organizations that aid humans in crises (e.g. women’s shelters, support for trans people, refugee rescue and support, support for unhoused people).
Companies I don’t work with
Due to the organizations’ business practices, I don’t work with the following companies or leaders at these companies:
